Matt Kish:
Self-taught artist and occasional photographer.

Jerry Kranitz:
Jerry Kranitz is the author of Cassette Culture: Homemade Music and the Creative Spirit in the Pre-Internet Age and the memoir Putt-Putt Abuse and other Zany Tales of Growing Up in 1970s Kenmore, New York. For 18 years he published the Aural Innovations Space Rock webzine and podcast. Jerry is a freelance writer who has contributed to Shindig! magazine and his essays have accompanied several archival reissues.

Just a guy that makes silly images!

Last Pages of Humanity:
Last Pages of Humanity or LPOH is an art-forward small business run by the creative couple McGory and Colvet.  Their work explores the themes of horror, sci-fi, fantasy, and poetry through the use of traditional printmaking methods.  Their visual style takes much inspiration from pre-code comics, medieval engravings, and traditional American tattoo aesthetics. Much of their work is multimedia in nature with a heavy reliance on experimental relief and screen printing.  The couple also publishes zines of their artwork, small-batch poetry books (through Imprint Art Collective/Outlandish Press), short stories, and comics (first issue in progress, being released in mid-2026).  Most of their analog pieces can be seen on Instagram, Youtube, and at local art and writing events. 

Douglas Laubacher:
Douglas Laubacher is a cartoonist and teaching artist from Ohio. His comic strip, “Unbound,” can be read in the Tuscarawas County Bargain Hunter. He can often be found teaching cartooning workshops in art centers and libraries. He's a member of the National Cartoonist Society.

Okell Lee:
Okell Lee is an artist who works primarily in the field of illustration. His artist vision comes from a place of distortion in social orders and our preconceived notions of reality. The work featured on panthers paradise consists of a pushing that distortion of reality to a point of near miscommunication

David Lewis:
David Lewis has created artwork, music and music journalism under the pen name d.n.l since 1981. A lot of d.n.l artwork was concert posters throughout the ‘80s and ‘90s in the Austin, Texas, music scene. While the art was still there in the years since the last two years have seen a re-dedication to creating, primarily in ink and watercolor drawings based on different shapes. Occasionally there is an overlap into sketches of characters.

Jeff Lilly:
Jeff Lilly is a writer, editor, and educator who has split his time between the Midwest USA and central Japan, currently residing in Ferndale, Michigan. He’s been writing comics and stories for over three decades. Current projects include the long-running webcomic The Extras with Pam Bliss and Katie Hodges, Tales From The City with J.R. Harris, Cricket with Katie Hodges and numerous other works in progress. He also collects books, restores antique radios, and spends way too much time fixing the old house he lives in.  

Craig Lindsley:
Craig Lindsley has had a love for comics, and art since his early childhood. Prio to drawing comics Craig has worked as a commercial artist, and Middle school art teacher. "I'm a one-man band. I write, draw, ink, letter, and sometimes color all the books you see on my table." From action adventure to humor Caesar Comics has a little something for everyone.

Larry Lonsby Jr:
Larry Lonsby Jr hailing from Michigan, is the creative force behind the beloved fantasy series, Tales of Tezlon, World of Tezlon, The Slug, and The Astral Traveller. His life has been dedicated to crafting these worlds, where his passion for art, comics, and Dungeons & Dragons converge. Proficient in various artistic mediums, from traditional drawing to digital art, Larry finds inspiration not only in his creations but also in meditation and philosophical teachings. His love for fantasy and sci-fi literature fuels his boundless imagination, enriching the tapestry of Tezlon with depth and wonder.

Alex Lupp:
Alex Lupp writes comics. Born in Bucharest, Romania, he found himself flung across the ocean at the tender age of thirteen. Landing in the Washington, DC area, he has since come to call the city his home. Along the way came comics, and a life long interest in experiencing and telling stories.

T.S. Luther:
His name's T.S. and he writes comics! Like The Digger for Invader Comics and Tokyo Fire for Professional Entropy. Writer at large from the middle of nowhere Michigan.

Drew B. Hall:
I make comics for deranged people. I host a comics reading show in Columbus called DISTRACTOR. I am very sorry.

Han Hampy:
Hi, I am Han Hampy, a cartoonist based in Columbus, Ohio. At the end of the day, my comics aim to make people laugh. My work is nostalgic, personal, and at times, a bit weird.

B. R. Harding:
B. R. Harding is an artist and writer from Northeast Ohio and the creator of Oven Mother, a 1950's-inspired surreal horror comic series. She loves to draw subjects that explore the intersection of the macabre and the whimsical, the grim and the cute, and ponder the stories of these quirky characters.

Stephen Hines:

Stephen Hines was spawned and lives in Ohio. So far he’s published one YA novel (Hocus Focus), a surrealist horror comic (Icon-O-Plastic), two graphic novels (Zombie Fabulous and The Soccer Mom Killer), and a short story collection called An Exile’s Epistle and Other Stories. He has also released a prose memoir (Rebirth Defect). Snails With Lasers is his newest onslaught upon delicate sensibilities.

Travis Horseman/Amiculus Books:

Travis was born in Springfield, Ohio, and discovered comic books at the age of six. Since then, the course of his life has been shaped by his love of comics, theater and classical history. In addition to being a writer, he has been an actor, a director, a produced playwright, and occasionally, all three at once. 
After writing the first draft of his ancient Roman epic Amiculus: A Secret History as a ten-page play in college, he began adapting it as a comic. Initially intending for it to be a short 32-page project, it took on a life of its own, expanding to a 200-page graphic novel.
Since Amiculus, Travis has continued to write, crowdfund and publish comics under his label Amiculus Books, venturing into modern-day horror with Sugar Creek in 2019 and combining horror with ancient history in the vampire story In Noctem in 2021.  Pythia: The Last Oracle was started in  2023 and is his first foray into the realm of mythology and fantasy.

Ironclad Comics:
Illustrator Ian Chovies and writer K.J. Axtmann began working together at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic with the goal of publishing comic books. They decided that self-publishing their work under a co-owned business was the route through which they would proceed. Thus, Ambiguous Content Consortium was formed. Ambiguous Content Consortium’s goal is to create original work that captures the unique abilities and talents of the creator-owners. The work that the Consortium produces aims to offer distinctive style and storytelling.

Clyde K:
I am a multidisciplinary artist from northeast Ohio who specializes in comics, illustration, and embroidery. I make artwork of whatever my heart desires but that usually consists of anthropomorphic dogs and some mixture of queer, midwestern, and kitschy aesthetics.

Pat Kain:
Cartoonist and animator blessed to be living in the great state of Ohio.

Chuck Kaslow:
Chuck is a Brooklyn-based cartoonist...and a cartoon of a person. Since 2019, I've been actively creating and self-publishing my comic book work, making appearances at Cons far and wide across the county, from NYCC and Emerald City, to the independent Cons of BICS (Brooklyn Independent Comics Showcase) and Zinecinnati. Any chance to talk comics is a good time.
Forged from a steady life-long diet of comix, cartoons, and B-movies, my work ranges from absurdist humor to tongue-in-cheek horror. From horror schlock creature-feature anthologies ("Tail from the Barkside") to X-treme absurdist action (“Big Arm NRG GO!”) and the nonsensicalities of life in humorist strips ("Brooklyn Boredumb"); each story offers something for any reader.
During all this time, I have become a leader in my local comic-shop community at Anyone Comics. Each month I run a 'Comix Jam' event where local artists can gather to do their work amongst their peers, talk shop, and be able to ask someone for a critical eye. Spinning from this, I’ve become the Creator/Editor of the shop's Newsletter, a mix of Onion-esque comic book humor, local creator work, and shop news.

Jamie Kaye:
Jamie Kaye's a watercolor illustrator and comic artist that has been traveling across the country doing conventions and events since 2008. She sells comics, prints, stickers, and does commissions on site for people. Community and relationships are central inspirations to her work, and she has organized projects and events to bring people together.

Morgan Cunningham:
Morg is a designer, illustrator and freelance creative hailing from Pittsburgh, PA. She creates cool and colorful printed goods like informational zines, prints, cards and stickers. As somewhat of a professional hobbyist, she incorporates many of her interests like cooking, baking and gardening into her creative work. When she’s not making or hobbying, she’s probably asleep. CXC:
Cartoon Crossroads Columbus (CXC) is an annual, four-day festival in Columbus, Ohio celebrating comics, animation, and the art of cartoon storytelling. It brings artists and audiences together for fun, thoughtful, and creative experiences across the city.

Makayla Davis:
Makayla is a comic artist from rural Kentucky who is inspired by nature. She is a Columbus College of Art & Design graduate, whose work has been featured in C3's Hidden Histories 2025 comic anthology, CHROMA, CXC 2025, and S.P.A.C.E. 2025.

Matt Feazell:
Matt Feazell is a cartoonist and retired graphic designer located in Hamtramck, Michigan. He accidentally started his comics career with his first minicomic, The Amazing Cynicalman #1 (1980).
Matt’s work has been published by Aardvark-Vanaheim, AC Comics, Arrow Comics, Caliber Press, Eclipse Comics, Fictioneer Books, First Comics, Last Gasp, and NBM Publishing. His comics and spot illustrations have appeared in Disney Adventures and Nickleodeon Magazine. In Understanding Comics, Scott McCloud described Matt’s style as “iconic” art taken to its greatest degree—in other words, a textbook example of cartooning fundamentals!
With five published books, a screenplay, and a feature film to his credit, Matt continues the minicomic adventures of The Amazing Cynicalman, America’s Laid-off superhero.

Tony Fero:
Big Tony Fero makes weirdo underground comix about monster guys and junk. He began self-publishing in 2016 and has released a grip of titles including: 21st Century of Big Spider, Monster Youth, Ulf Maverick and Randy Tucker: Bomb Dude. His work can also be seen in Gore Shriek Delectus 2020, the bootleg epic Image Grand Disaster and Tales to Enlighten vol. 2 as well as on countless album covers and gig posters. He was once called a "punk rock Jack Kirby" which while wildly hyperbolic, is a pretty accurate representation of the general vibe of his work.

Samuel Fisher:
Samuel Fisher (pen name: Joyous Phantom) is a Cleveland based comic creator and artist affiliated with Cleveland comic makers' group Comics in the Circle, as well as a committee member of Genghis Con, Cleveland's largest independent press convention. Samuel uses his comics and artwork to spread the belief that visual storytelling brings people together and establishes community.

Flyby Publishing:
An independent comic and creative endeavor publishing company. We publish comics, Rogue, Will ‘o the Wisp, and Space Rabbit, and are currently developing a horror inspired board game.

Tim Fuller:
Tim Fuller is an illustrator living in Northern Kentucky and active in the Cincinnati, Ohio comic scene. He writes and draws comic books, mostly about talking animals. He shares his studio space with several cats and dogs who give him plenty of feedback on his work. His Sham Comics series for Source Point Press takes public domain material from the 40s and 50s and rewrites them as social satires. Tim is the art director for The Cincinnati Cabinet of Curiosities comic anthology of local paranormal legends. Tim’s current projects also include "Cap'n Catnip & Womble the Wonder Gerbil." with writer Craig Boldman and cartoonist Daryll Collins. Gutpunks & Rahaf! are an artist duo that met deep in the trenches of art school, united by their passion for all things creative. Now they roam Columbus sharing their handmade creations! GUTPUNKS creates art inspired by alternative subculture, Japanese anime, American cartoons and western indie comics, with their personal work often depicting Asian Americans in queer and alternative spaces. Rahaf’s work varies in medium, but always centers around themes of hope, sentimentality, and unwavering faith in humanity. Together, they sell their comics in the form of zines, stickers, prints, and other handmade jewelry and crafts!

Brian Canini:
Brian Canini is a cartoonist born from the bosom of the Midwest - Columbus, Ohio. There he lives with his wife, Amy, and their three kiddos. He creates a plethora of comic series. He is also an editor/creator of the Eisner-nominated free comics newspaper the Columbus Scribbler.

Marcus V. Calvert:
Marcus V. Calvert is a native of Detroit who grew up with an addiction to sci-fi that just wouldn't go away.

Marlena Cannon:
Marlena Cannon graduated from The Ohio State University in 2003 with a BA in Art. A lifelong lover of cozy mysteries and fantasy novels, she's been writing stories of her own since childhood. She later pursued her passion for writing through the DIY MFA program, where she first drafted "The Vanishing Castle" in 2023. Marlena also designed the cover, drawing on her background in graphic design. She lives in Grove City, Ohio, with her husband, cats, and rescue rabbits.

Columbus Cartoon Coalition:
The goal of the Columbus Cartoon Coalition is to establish consistent programming for cartoonists and comic artists in, and around, Columbus, OH. Developing a space to commune and create, we host critique sessions, gallery hops, and other activities to bring local artists together. Gathering creatives from various scenes within the city, our events provide ample opportunities for networking, collaboration, and community building within the medium of cartoon arts.

Comicsburgh:
A comic creator from Pittsburgh, PA; Grant Lankard is the creator of the hit indie comics Beowulf and League of Cryptids. This is the third volume of Memoirs of the Morbid that he has curated. Lankard was also featured as one of the creators in Don Simpson’s Megaton Man: Multimensions. You can find him on most social media platforms under Grant Lankard.

Sarah Cooke:
Sarah Cooke (she/her) won Mad Cave’s 2023 Talent Search and the 2023 Negative Space Women’s Comic Book Writing Competition. Her published works include a short in the Flash Gordon Quarterly #4 called Dale Arden: Hero of Mongo, No Spell Lasts Forever, and a number of shorts. She is the editor of Volumes 1 and 2 of a science-fiction anthology called Fasher Than Light. And an essay she wrote appears in the book How to Analyze & Review Comics: A Handbook on Comics Criticism. As a comics reporter, she has written for Marvel, DC Comics, Women Write About Comics, CBR, Voice of Youth Advocates, WTAP Television, and more. Joel Cramer is a life-long nerd and fan of all things considered "geeky", especially dragons and aliens. He's a native of the Columbus area and creator of "Adventures of Honzy and Joel", an all-ages friendly comic series, the more mature sci-fi series "The Skaype Wars" and other fun stuff.

80 Proof Comix:
Mini comics since the mid 1980's crossing a variety of topics. Lately been focusing on love of low budget movie making with producer character. Completed a run of comics based on working as a house manager/QIDP for a group home. Also do one panel toons(generally at work).

Chris Anderson:
Chris Anderson is a co-founder of POWER PULP COMICS. He is a comics creator whose work can be seen in the self-published Lost Angels, Spectral: A Showcase of Fear, Chaotic Neutral and the forthcoming Three-Headed-Pig-Man. His work can also be found in Heavy Metal Magazine, Image Comics and the currently serialized American Caper from Dark Horse. He is also a live-action storyboard artist having worked on the Emmy Award winning Penguin and Insecure for HBO among many other projects.

Matt Blair:
Matt Blair is an author, illustrator, and public school teacher. He printed his first comics in 1997. He is most proud of his two kind, hard-working daughters and his generous, gracious wife.

Skye Boggess:
I'm currently a second year Studio Art major at Ohio University and eventually intend to get a masters in comics or painting & drawing. I've attended SPACE three times before under my old highschool teacher, J.M Hunter. I enjoy making zines, stickers, and prints about stories I've created and my own personal experiences. My art leans to the cuter side, but in the stories I write I enjoy covering heavier topics even with my unassuming art style. I find SPACE to be an amazing way to meet other small artists in Ohio and love learning about comic creating from artists who have been in the industry for much longer than I.

Brent Bowman:
Brent Bowman is a graduate of the Columbus College of Art And Design with a degree in Illustration. His work has appeared in publications by Image Comics, Amiculus Press, and NBM Graphic Novels. He's a contributing artist to the Eisner nominated newspaper The Columbus Scribbler. Brent has been awarded the small press SPACE prize multiple times and was nominated for the NLA Great Graphic novels for teens award and The Amanda Bloomer Award.

Duncan Bryk:
Duncan Bryk spends most of his time either drawing comics or pondering where the days of his youth went. Most of them were likely consumed by his two major comics projects, Archives and Click. He's currently working on his third, which he plans to release in 2026.


Bumble  Banner / Almost Williams :
Bumble Banner is an independent publisher specializing in small press comics, zines and associated merch. And by small press, we mean small, as in most creations are 4″ x 5″, a funky size that we are confident will be sweeping the Midwestern United States any day now. We strive to handmake our goods as much as humanly possible, from assembling our comics, to pressing our own buttons.  Almost Williams is the writer/illustrator/busy bee behind Bumble Banner. He is the creator of such works as the sci-fi epic IGGI and…well, more IGGI! (Hey, we all have to start somewhere.) Almost enjoys long walks, fresh pencils, and the smell of toner. Certainly, some of this information is true.

Bud Burgy:

Bud Burgy is a Minneapolis-based indie illustrator and co-creator of the comic book series, Bushwhacked!, which has been featured in numerous anthologies including Muscles & Fights 1-3. His illustration style is heavily influenced by the limited animation techniques of Hanna-Barbera and Fleischer Studios, utilizing simplistic visuals to emphasize action and dialogue. Bud focuses on character-driven stories exploring themes of friendship and hard work.
